When the flamboyant owner and Managing Director of Vestal first came to see us we were a little skeptical about the idea of a sipping vodka. The idea that a spirit usually masked by mixers could be savored like a fine cognac was certainly a new one to us but after a very pleasant and somewhat inebriated tasting evening we were converted and set about (the following day, not that evening obviously!) building a brand to support this luxury product.
Vestal is a throwback to when the production of vodka was an artisanal process made in small batches in villages and small towns across the Poland, just as wine was, and still is, produced in France and much of the rest of the world.
Each batch was distinctive and never repeated since the raw materials, grains at first and later also potatoes, were different from year to year depending on the weather and other factors. Equally importantly, a single distillation ensured that the specific aromas and tastes were not lost and each batch had its own spirit of time and place.
The Vestal Vodka Company’s goal is to recapture this spirit of time and place and introduce you to the true Spirit of Poland.
Vestals aim was to get the product positioned in some of London's top bars and clubs, thereby making it an aspirational brand to the public. We knew therefore we had to come up with an identity that was both forward facing and contemporary as well as one that referred back to it's heritage and ethos.
The results speak for themselves as Vestal has gone on to become a mainstay of the London socialite scene, endorsed by bands such as Razorlight and served as the vodka of choice in establishments such as the Groucho Club.
